Vatican Easter 2020 Via Crucis and mass celebrations

Vatican Easter 2020 dates of Holy Masses and the Pope’s Via Crucis, as well as celebrations of the English speaking comunities.

Due to the Coronavirus crisis, all celebrations in the Easter week, until April 13, are not held in public. This also applies to the mass on Easter Sunday and the blessing of the Pope Urbi et Orbi. You can follow all the celebrations live on our page Papal Audience live.

For the Pope’s audiences it is also possible to book a professional guide, who assists you in finding the best places to see the Pope up close. There are also those who offer to pick you up from the hotel or even include a visit to the Vatican Museums and St. Peter’s.

  1. Hi Is there a way to complete the form for Papal mass by email. With NBN in Australia we don’t have a fax machine anymore. The Prefecture of the Pontifical household form can only be faxed or posted. Can I complete this and email somewhere? We are travelling from Australia to Rome for Easter with the intent on attending the papal mass and just don’t know how we get tickets.

    • Hello, for the mass on Sunday 12 (also Sunday 5 and Sunday 19) you can order the tickets online at the German Pilgrim Center and pick up there. For the masses inside the basilica on Good Friday and the Easter Vigil the only way is to send a fax to the Prefecture. Probably you can find a free fax service on the internet.

On our page about the Papal audience you can book tickets for the audiences and you find more information how to pick up the tickets at the Pilgrim Center. From Thursday 9 to Saturday 11 the Pilgrim Center is open 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
