The most anticipated summer event in the Testaccio district returns: from June 5 to September 30, 2026, Testaccio Estate 2026 brings life to the spaces of Città dell’Altra Economia, inside the Campo Boario. The urban cultural series promoted by Rome City Council offers four months of rich and varied programming, completely free of charge.
A program for all tastes

The event features a rich calendar ranging from live music to DJ sets, from stand-up comedy to themed festivals. There are also cultural meetings, major popular events and, as the highlight of the series, film screenings in the open-air arena.
Campo Boario transforms into a reference point for Roman cultural life during the summer months, offering an interesting alternative to the city’s traditional venues. The spaces of Città dell’Altra Economia, dedicated to solidarity economy and sustainability, are perfectly suited to hosting events of all kinds in a unique setting.
How to get there
Reaching Città dell’Altra Economia is easy: Metro line B stop Piramide is the fastest solution. Alternatively, several bus lines are available: 96, 719 and 775 stop at Galvani/Zabaglia, right next to Mercato di Testaccio.
The central location in the Testaccio district makes the series easily accessible even for those wishing to combine their cultural evening with dinner at one of the many typical trattorias in the area.
Practical information
Testaccio Estate 2026 takes place from June 5 to September 30, 2026 at Città dell’Altra Economia, Largo Dino Frisullo (former slaughterhouse). Admission to events is free, unless otherwise indicated for specific shows. The detailed program is published progressively on the event’s official website.
With the arrival of Roman summer, Testaccio confirms its cultural vocation and ability to animate one of Rome’s most authentic neighborhoods.
