Today I present you a little gem in the center, the La Rinascente flagship store in Via del Tritone.
KaDeWe in Berlin, Lafayette in Paris, Harrods department store in London, is there something similar in Rome? Here it is. Small but mighty! The La Rinascente flagship store in via del Tritone.
Between basement and roof terrace the department store spreads for you its elegant offer over eight floors.
It is not easy to find suitable areas in the city center for a department store, and so the group La Rinascente has managed a small miracle. After 11 years of construction, the flagship store in Via del Tritone opened in October 2017. On 14,000 square meters you will find more than 800 brands.
The ancient aqueduct Vergine
A special achievement is the integration of the ancient aqueduct Vergine into the La Rinascente flagship store. The aqueduct, inaugurated by Augustus in the year 19 BC, brings until today the water to the Trevi Fountain and other wells in the city.
The aqueduct can be visited in the basement of the La Rinascente Flagship Store. You can also relax there at the bar. Projections inform you about details of the aqueduct.

On the second and third floor is the men’s department, on the fourth and fifth floors the women’s department.

Restaurants at La Rinascente Flagship Store in Via del Tritone
On the 6th floor opposite the escalator you will find the Vivibistrot. The Vivibistrot is based on the principles of healthy nutrition and offers an intelligent and innovative kitchen with organic products. Vivibistrot has earned an excellent reputation with its bistros at Villa Pamphili and the Museo di Roma in Piazza Navona.
Right next to the Vivibistrot you will find the Temakinho. The Temakinho combines Japanese cuisine and Brazilian flair.
The winery Cantina Feudi di San Gregorio offers food and selected wines. Here you can order a pizza or a starter plate and a nice wine or Prosecco.
The fourth restaurant, MadeITerraneo, is run by star chef Riccardo Di Giacinto. He also runs the lounge bar on the rooftop. From here you can see the dome of St. Peter’s Basilica and enjoy the panorama over the rooftops of Rome.
